It’s the mid 70s and Beth is a young and upcoming funk/soul singer that goes by the stage name Doc Midnight and Rick is the lead singer of the rock band Hourman (his band mates? Henry, Cam and Joey). Rick meets Beth because she’s going to be the opener for his world tour in Europe. So they spend a whole year together and fall in love in a space away from American Racism. In Europe they also meet and become best friends with the singer duo Courtney and Yolanda known as Wildstar. When they come back to the US the pressure of being an interracial relationship in the public eye during the 70s puts a strain on their relationship. However, their love for each other persists and they stay together/eventually marry. 🤎🧡
